Rick Bayless sent me a message on twitter, I directed a question at him (see previous post on Crema Espesa) and while his response was  short (only 3 letters), it made me feel giddy like a schoolgirl.  He acknowledged my existence.  I wonder if he has seen the blog yet and if so what he thinks about it…

Chef Bayless, if you happen to read this, I started this blog project out of a love and respect for Mexican food and culture.  I want to learn to cook Mexican food and your book is an accessible way for me to do so.  I promise to cook your recipes with the utmost love, care, & integrity.
